主要从事污染物的环境与生物地球化学行为、水生态毒理、水质基准和风险评估研究工作。在复杂环境介质中有毒有机污染物分析方法研发、污染特征、迁移转化、生物代谢、生态风险及水质基准方面积累的丰富的经验,并取得了创新性的研究成果,相关研究成果得到了国内外同行的广泛认可。曾在多个刊物召集“基准和风险评估”相关研究专辑,分别是《生态毒理学报》(2015年)、《环境工程》(2019年)、《Journal of Chemistry》(2020年)、Frontiers in Environmental Science(2022年)。作为主要执笔人完成了我国环境基准领域的第一个技术指南,即:《淡水水生生物水质基准制定技术指南》(HJ 831)。自主研发了我国第一个国家水质基准模型预测软件(EEC-SSD),并在生态环境部网站公开发布,直接支撑了我国首批环境基准技术文件的制定。累计发表论文150余篇;主编和参与撰写专著6部;参与撰写标准6项,授权发明专利10余项;主持和参与国家自然科学基金、国家重点研发计划、水体污染控制与治理科技重大专项和环保公益项目等国家和省部级项目10余项。获得环境保护科学技术一等奖1项、二等奖1项;获得第四届中国环境科学学会青年科学家奖。
