Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, University of Manitoba
Associate Professor, School of Environment and SustainabilityMember, Global Institute for Water Security科学研究
Dr. Lindenschmidt’s key research thrust is in the development of models designed to better forecast and understand flooding as related to ice-jams, an increasingly important risk to our Prairie and other communities. Over the course of his career, Dr. Lindenschmidt has developed experience in water quality and quantity modelling of rivers and their basins internationally, including the Elbe, Saale, Havel, and Spree Rivers in Germany. His research interests in modelling river ice freeze-up and ice-jamming have also brought him to Manitoba, Saskatchewan, and the Northwest Territories. As his projects require intensive field research, he has significantly involved local community members in his work, and much of his research has been directed by community partners.
