Academic contribution

Prof. Andrea Critto contributed to the development of research activities on Environmental Risk Assessment associated with: climate change environmental impacts; development of Decision Support Systems for the integration of environmental, technological, economical and societal issues; formulation of Environmental Quality Standards and planning of environmental monitoring; selection/comparison of remedial technologies and measures.

Recent EU projects included in-depth investigation of: a) assessment of environmental impacts of climate change; b) remediation of contaminated sites; c) risk based management of river basins; d) human health risks related to environmental stressors; e) environmental risk related to engineered nanoparticles.
